We got our house ordered this weekend! We decided to get one that is already in the factory being built instead of waiting months for a different one that we originally picked out. We have to take delivery of it before the end of April! Which is wonderful! This one is 2184 Sq Ft so it is bigger than the brick home we were living in. I am so excited and boy do we have a lot of work to do to be ready! We have to put in a foundation and septic tank. I have a nephew in law who actually does this type of construction and is going to be down later this week to help us do it.

In the meantime I am probably going to get to have some chickens! My mom (who lives down the driveway from me) wants to get some too so we are going to go in together and get some maybe this weekend. I already get farm eggs from my brother who also lives right there by us also but these will be mine (and mom's)! We will also be getting a couple of calves to feed out this summer too.

Below is the link to the house that we ordered. It is a Solitaire manufactured home. http://www.solitairehomes.com/pdfs/LEGEND%204%20SALES.pdf

Shelle-

That house looks great! Sounds like things are moving forward really quickly on your housing site also- It must be terribly exciting to be getting into a nice fresh home so soon! I hope you will post some pictures once they deliver your house? I am sure it will be beautiful!

Thanks for all the well wishes! We had our credit approved this week and the home site inspected and this evening they are prepping for the foundation. Hopefully we can get that completed before the weekend along with setting the septic tank. Things are moving right along!

We should be living in it sometime the first week of May. We have to take delivery of it before the end of April and it takes about 3-4 days to get it all set up if the weather cooperates.

Karin........you're right I think that room does have craft room written all over it! It will also be our computer room as well I think.

I also want to use the walk in closet in the dining area as a butlers pantry if i can talk hubby into it.
