We are looking for a small farmette around the areas of Valdosta or Thomasville/Moultrie areas.
Do any of you Georgia gals know of any thing that looks good?
No mobile homes/prefer brick home 3 br. 2 bath. and prefer 2 acres up to 8-9 acres.
If you know of anything give me a holler.
Thanks.
~Tina

Georgia Properties listed in our paper today:

55 acres on paved road near Bainbridge. Year round stream, planted pines, food plots. Asking 6,000/acre. 850-766-4121

25-45 acres w/650' of Ocklocknee River frontage. Thomas County, Goergia. 7,000/acre Timber included. 229-403-0398

27.64 acres 2 miles from Florida line. Natural spring. 2 deep wells and septic tanks on land 229-307-0200 evenings.

Good luck. Hope you find that dream place, and I think the Thomasville area would be better than Valdosta. Just my opinion! It is lovelier. I will keep an eye out for smaller acreage. There is lots of it for sale right now. There are developments between here and Thomasville that are building on 3-5 acres per home. But that would be like a subdivision in a way. And there are farms with pecan groves. I always wanted one of those.....

The farmers market bulletin is online now. Go to : http://www.agr.state.ga.us/mbads/Index.aspx and it will take you to the ads page.

Tina, I just noticed in our Farmers Market Bulletin that there will be a Farmland Edition published 3/14. How funny, I see that it says "2006." I guess I'm not the only one doing that! Anyway, if you'll email your address, I'll mail you my copy when it comes. It's often a good way to find some farmland in Ga. Listed by the farmer, no real estate agents involved. Let me know.

I know this is huge, but it will lead you to the realtor.com Valdosta pages. It shows about 12 pages of properties. I think so anyway. This should give you an idea about what there is out there. You can enter any city in the search and it will let you know what's available.
Good luck!

we'll be heading up that way in about 2 weeks to scout out the areas and to hopefully have some properties to look at.
that's the plan anyhow.

Valdosta is quite a ways away from me, but I will see what I can find in the paper and on the web.
