We went to Kentucky for a church homecoming, and took some time to check out properties near Irvine that we saw on Zillow. Somehow our GPS got confused in the mountains, but we found the property I had my eye on purely by accident. It is everything that I want - a view, quiet, and a small house. The only problem is that we aren't ready to retire for anot her couple years, and can't afford two mortgages. I hope the LORD will keep it for us!

There is nothing earth shattering going on her (although South of us in Georgetown KY there was a slight earthquake). We are getting cold days and chilly nights. One of our students had a sinus infection and is still coughing. My daughter had a gall bladder surgery and I'll be making my lasagna for her. My sweetie is scheduled for a meniscus operation Friday. Two turkeys are thawing in the refrigerator for our church meal.

Vanessa, henna is super neat. I got one quite a few years back on my foot when we went to Hawaii. If we ever go back I will do it again. I like how yours looks like lace.

Yesterday I took our 2 students to the Wool Fest in Falmouth KY and got myself a subtle henna tattoo. Not bad for $5!

Time has sure flown! Tonight I was at a fundraiser at a local school. They had a group of wrestlers put on a show. Their name is Next Generation Wrestling out of Carlisle KY. It was all well choreographed. I was there to take a picture of the principal refereeing a match.
It was a raucous crowd. A lady started yelling "Barbie" at the guy in the pink plaid. I told her if Mattel made Ken's like him, I'd buy 10 of them. His character was a jerk though.

How exciting, riding in a hot air Balloon! I started using my good dishes and quilts in the 1990s. Why not enjoy them. My grandma made the quilts, so cozy and I see her stitches and think of her with her thimble on 1 finger. I've broken quite a few dishes and glasses! Still got the memories!

Vanessa, your hummingbird feeder is super neat and it looks like the birds already like it! I am sorry to hear about your crystal tumbler. I actually broke a glass myself this week. It's more stressful worrying if I got all the tiny glass pieces then being upset about a broken glass.

This was the last of a set of 6 crystal tumblers. When we were newlyweds in Germany we bought them on a tour to a crystal factory. For years they were stored in their box until one day I thought "use them,they're no good otherwise." One by one they were broken but I wasn't upset. This last tumbler was perfect for a civilized portion of thai iced tea, until a careless gesture sent it bouncing into the sink.

This week I've been attending the "Old Eeliable" Germantown Fair. I rode in a tethered hot air balloon and took pictures of chicken rodeo and pen the pig.

My husband is an online shopper and I'm not. Sometimes I don't agree with the stuff he buys but I think he scored some brownie points today. He got me new hummingbird feeder that looks like a windchime. It's hardly been up 5 minutes and they've been slurping the nectar.

Vanessa, your front yard is looking great! We have large rocks around our front porch making a planter. Last year we decided to expand it and make the rocks go all the way down the side of the house. Looks much better now. Plus now I have extra places to plant stuff!

Looks great Vanessa! I am on the lookout for rock to put around our front flower gardens. They have them part way around that were here when we moved in and I'd like them to look more finished.

We put another layer on the planter. Sweetie complained at my request for long, wide and thinnish pieces. The hound is our Primrose, less stinky since I used Poopf on her.

Almost! The rooms are set up, just need a little cleaning. My sweetie decided that we needed an updated bathroom, we don't know when the handyman will be available, so that project might come down to the last minute.
