Posted - Jan 24 2013 : 2:20:32 PM Hi my farm friends, My hubby and I are thinking of making a move in the next few years and we are thinking about NC. We are hoping to be about an hour or so from the ocean but need a CHEAP area. We're hoping for a couple of acres with a house. We have been looking on line at Cerro Gordo, Chadbourn and Whiteville areas. Any input and opinions would be appriciated. Thanks Liz

We're NC natives now living in Ohio. I love North Carolina, it's a beautiful state, land is not terribly expensive. Chadbourne is a nice area.
