Hi my farm friends,
My hubby and I are thinking of making a move in the next few years and we are thinking about NC.
We are hoping to be about an hour or so from the ocean but need a CHEAP area. We're hoping for a couple of acres with a house. We have been looking on line at Cerro Gordo, Chadbourn and Whiteville areas. Any input and opinions would be appriciated.
Thanks
Liz

SE North Carolina has skeeters big enough to haul a person off!

We're NC natives now living in Ohio. I love North Carolina, it's a beautiful state, land is not terribly expensive. Chadbourne is a nice area.

It's so much fun to dream about a future home that you'd like. I hope you find exactly what you're looking for.

One of the best compliments from one of my daughters: "Moma, you smell good...like dirt."

When I was in the military I was stationed in NC. The area about an hour from base was very reasonable. Look at the southeastern part of the state, north of the Wilmington area.
