So we go approved to move into a turn of the century craftsman style house with our own clawfoot bathtub. It will be fun and we have friends that live pretty close which will be great. I love the neighborhood. It is very historic. We are within a couple blocks of the Moss Mansion in Billings:

Alee, that's a beautiful space inside -- love the architectural details. You'll make it homey in no time and will be an asset to the community. Best wishes!

Alee, I got your email about being in town and replied back. I'm sorry to say we aren't in town at the moment so I won't be able to meet. Thanks for thinking of me though. Hope you have fun with your visit to your Grands (as a neice-in-law calls them).

Thanks Audrey!

I am going to be in your neck of the woods this weekend to visit my grandparents. I know it is short notice but anyway we could have a meal together Saturday or Sunday?

Wow Alee! I've been out of the loop for awhile and just read your post about losing the country property. Sorry about that but this will be a good compensation. You and Nora can walk to the Moss Mansion for their winter tour! The interior of your new place looks wonderful! Love old homes, they have so much character!

I have to admit, when I saw the red brick structure, it threw me off, but the interior of your new home is awesome, such cheerful colors and natural light! It looks very spacious too.

Well, don't close the book on thoughts of that farmhouse completely. You never know how things will work out with the farmhand living there, and maybe another new chapter will begin before you know it.

Thanks ladies! We put a deposit down on it yesterday and just need to send it to the land lord now. I hate moving but we are going to hire a local moving company to help so that will be good!

I was going to ask about Tala. Glad to hear that she'll be okay. What a beautiful place.

Alee, good luck with your new venture. Looks like a lovely place. I am sure it will work out wonderfully once you get your creative touches into it. Just alot of work moving again so fast. That is great thea Tala will still have a good home and hopefully well cared for.

Thanks Ladies! The red brick place is not ours- it's the Moss Mansion. It's about 2 blocks away.

Everything is working out well. I told Doug last night- maybe we had to move out here to make a good contact with out current landlord who is a big business owner in the area. Plus Tala was not doing well at the other boarding location and I she needed some one on one care. Now she is healthy and not skinny anymore which is great! Plus the landlord is going to make sure that the farm hand will take care of her for me and we get to use the farm and keep Tala out here for free. I can't ask for much more than that!!

Doug is going to be happier in town and it will save a lot of commuting. So that is good too. I have tried to keep my chin up throughout this and it has been working so far. I just hope I don't watch somone trash this farmhouse that I love!!

Hi Alee,
When one door closes, another opens. I love the new digs! When I was a little girl, my great aunt and uncle lived in a house that had a very similar look. I love craftsman homes! I envy you. AND a claw foot bathtub to boot! WOW. (I bought one last year and it is sitting in my shop --- and my farm is for sale right now. (I want to take the tub with us. I will have to convince hubby. He wants to sell it, but NOT ME!)
All the best to you and your family. I love Montana, too. You live in a great state!

This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!

Every day on the farm is JOY to the soul!

What a bright and cheery living space, Alee! I'm so happy for you! Love the fireplace.. the windows.. the floors.. Love it! And Amy's right - there's nothing like a claw foot bathtub to soak all your cares away! Lucky you! Remember the bubbles, girl!!! Hugs - Nini

Sounds like a good back-up Alee - and let me tell you, a claw-foot bathtub can make up for a lot of things:) Thinking about you as you deal with this - just know that some day you will have your own farm, each day brings you closer!
