Oh my gosh Alee. After all the work you went through. That does not seem fair. Any ideas on what you are going to do? Phooey........

Thanks Laurie- but we just found out we have to leave :( The landlord needs to put a farm hand here because they are having a family emergency and must move to Missouri

Oh so pretty Alee! I too love the wood floors- they certainly look great for floors that have never been re-done! And how cute is Nora's pony! I used to have one of those too when I was just a little farmgirl and I remember rocking on it for hours on end!
Enjoy your beautiful new home!
Smiles,

Love it, Alee--I'm so glad you're happy there! And I love Nora's pony set up in the front room, just as Violet's is. Gotta have space to ride like the wind!

Alee the house looks great. I'm glad your stress level is down. I for one left my job last week after a month of overtime and too much stress. John said to me it wasn't worth it and just turn in your papers today. I left last Friday and I really have been enjoying ever day since then.

I need to come out and see your new place soon.

Emily- That we kindof cheated on- the land lord supplied the curtain rods and the beige curtains. I had just found a great deal at Wal-mart for curtains about 2 months prior- they were "clearancing" stuff to make room for the holiday stuff so I got a bunch of curtains at 5-7 for two full panels. So that is where the stripey ones come from. We are going to have to buy more of the stripes though I think for the dining room area. :)

Looks great. I am impressed you have curtains up already. Congrats on a safe furnace that always puts a mind at ease.

Thanks ladies! We have really gotten quite comfortable here. Doug's brother who is a furnace guy checked our equipment today and said it was good :) That certainly makes you feel better!

Thanks Melanie! They are original to the house and have never been refinished. I am thinking of seeing how hard it would be for us to do the refinishing ourselves. It would certainly make cleaning easier!

Thanks Marly! It's been really great- still lots of compromises, but overall I think that stress level is much less out here. I love it. I honestly wouldn't mind having this house forever. It's too bad that we are renting.
