Hi everyone. I know some of you already know this from my blog or from emailing me but it wouldn't feel official without a post to all my fellow farmgals. We finally closed on our 5 acre farm (with the big red barn!) on December 27th. :) We have waited four years, four months, and four weeks to be able to say that we are real farm owners (after moving from main street in a small town and waiting waiting waiting for the just the right farm to work out...) and it is SO wonderful to be able to say it is all done and officially ours! We are having an amazing time dreaming about all the things to come in the spring...gosh, there is so much to tell!

I just wanted to hop on and let everyone know that the farm is ours and we are SOOOOO happy! Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers and well wishes! Internet was hooked up today and hopping on to MaryJanesFarm was one of the first things on my list! :)

Amy I just visited your blog (again) and absolutely LOVE your "new" farmhouse! The pictures are amazing- the inside of the house looks great- you really did such a nice job with it! And of course needless to say with those sunrises and sunsets and that big ole red barn the view outside aint too shabby either! NICE!!!
PS...I'm drooling as I type this!

Oh Amy, I'm very happy for you. I didn't start living my dream until very late, so I'm especially proud of you for realizing your dreams and making the steps towards them. Getting the farm is just the start... Enjoying the daily journey, that's the fun part!
