I love my farm, we bought 20 acres in June and we had 7 pigs but we butched 2 before christmas, so I have one more market hog and 4 breeders. their names are Charlotte and Wilbur, Papa and Daisy. we have 2 horses May and June, and 2 ponies due to Foal in April. Cotton and Candy are their names. we have 2 goats Jess and MAgnum who are due to have their baby in January! we are so excited. then we have 9 shetland sheep 8 of which we will breed next year, the other one is a whether that is just our weed eater his name is Tank. we have 3 dogs Bo, Wyatt, and Delcy. and 2 cats Boo and Whisper. I also have 22 chickens. My husband works out of state so I do everything on my own with my two little helpers my daugther Jacey Alexis who is 4 on January 18th and my other daughter Rosalie Rayne who is 17 months. I am planning my garden which will be huge adn have alittle bit of everything this year, and also working on starting a farmers market for this summer. I love Farming and want to pass all this on to my girls and their babies. I think farming is a very special part of History and the future. I think it is a very important thing to know how to support yourself through hard times and not so hard times.

Ashley, loved seeing all of your pictures of your girls and animals! I had a dog once that looked just like your Bobo, only her name was Domino.

Oh for the simple life: family, quilts, corgi's, horses, homemade everything.

Terri,
Yes Jacey loves all her animals and is just happy to spend all her time with them. She is like me we just love animals and are so excited for babies to come. Rose is more interested in cats than anything else but that is ok.

Heather B you could move to Montana we have 20 acres down the road that has a little mobile home on it for $80,000. it is about 3 miles out of town even and a small town but very lovely and friendly. And the Fair is awesome every year. Just a thought! it would be nice to have someone around that will use the land for farming.

Ashley, thank you for sharing all the picture's. It fun to see what other farmgirls are doing. I am still "farming" my suburban lot, chickens, garden and bees, but hope to move out to a rural area in the next two years. Always on the look out for a deal.
I congratulate you on taking on such a task with your hubby working out of state and just your little helpers to chip in. Keep up the good job!

Heather

Thank you everybody! I have a lot of fun here. We are just so excited to sheer our sheep at the end of Febuary and spin their wool, and to see all the babies that are coming. we have so many plans for our garden, I just want to go out and plant it right now. Even though we are having a really warm winter, and no snow I think it wouldn't fair so well. We are in Montana so I know that snow storm is coming but just don't know when yet. I will post picts of the babies when they come.

Diane- Thank you she is such a sweet heart I was truly blessed with her. She is just such a happy baby and always busy.

Don't go with the flow...you are the flow.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
