I started a new topic since this is so pic heavy-
Nora Thrilled to be at the new house!

Just like in days gone past- our Kitchen door is our "Front" door and the Front door will most likely rarely be used.

Our Front porch and real front door:

Mudroom Entry Way:

Kitchen:

Standing in "dining room" looking towards the "Living room"

Standing in "living room" and looking back towards the "dining room"

Downstairs office/bedroom and bathroom:

Stairs

View from Stairs to backyard- messy but I think that will be improved soon with a farmgirl in residence!!

Alee,

I need a map to your new place. I hope to visit in the next few months. I know that you are busy right now but I really would like to sit down and tell you all about what has been happening with my family and to hear about yours. Tea?

If you need anything let me know.

Congratulations Alee. I love the new home. Moving is no fun but makes me think of my grandmother.
She said she was too old to be moving furniture and would just get in the way. So she volunteered to stay at the new place and tell the movers which room to put the boxes into. We always wrote the room and briefly what was inside on each box. While waiting for the trucks and boxes to arrive Nonnie would manage to get the big bed made and a nice pot of soup on the stove. At the end of a hard day, the movers ( all the able family members) could have a nice hot meal and the bed was waiting for the family to get a well earned sleep. Family is scattered all over the country now so this is just a pleasant memory.
Glad your move went well and hope you had lots of willing hands to get it done.

Thanks ladies! My husband the Hulk got the ramp taken car of and we got about 80% of our belongings here. Now I just have to get the rest taken care of and we will be done. But we were all able to sleep here last night which was wonderful

Thanks Julie! We are moving today and boy it is NOT going smoothly! There was a snaffu at the budget truck rental place and then the truck ramp didn't want to come out. Now one of our cars is having a mechanical problems. *sigh*. But luckily my husband does an excellent impression of the Hulk and was able to get the loading ramp out. Now we'll see if we can get it back up! :) It'll get done but we are looking at lots of caffeine and patience today! LOL :)

Alee - can I move in with y'all? Your new place is absolutely WONDERFUL!!!! Congrats, my friend. If anyone deserves this, its you. Now, could it possibly be for sale in the future, so you would have a chance to buy it?

I am a bit sad that we are not out there yet. We thought the landlord would be okay with us moving in a little early but he said absolutely not. So we are just having a very relaxing week and we will be all moved in on the 10th.

Hooray for you all, Alee! That house looks fantastic! And all that land! Looking forward to see how you decorate and everything you do inside and outside, too. Nora just gets prettier as she grows. She looks more like you all the time. Keep sharing pics. :)

Thanks ladies! It's just a rental for the next year and a half/two years max until we get our real house. But it is going to be great and I think we will be sad to leave it when we do! We are working on cleaning and packing today. We have the next week off to move and clean but I really hope to be done tomorrow!
