Where are ALL of Our Michigan Farmgirls? What have you been doing lately? Any projects being done for special Christmas gifts?

Janet, That would have been fun. Mackinac City is a fun place to shop. We go down in the spring and fall. Hope to catch you over my way some other time.

Don't be sorry that it's over... Be glad that it happened.

I am in Escanaba, which is quite a way from you. Maybe someday we wcan meet somewhere? We are going to Mackinac City on Monday just to do some shopping and a day away. We do that once a year as a mini getaway for the day.

cj6: Might I suggest the Galesburg/Augusta area for your dream acreage? I'd love more Farmgirl neighbors. :)

Siobhan: Beautiful name! But bummer that I just find out I have a Farmgirl Sister probably 15 minutes away and you have the nerve to be MOVING. Just kidding - East Leroy is only a half-hour or so away. I've never been there, though - I'm an "up north" kind of girl and don't usually venture south of 94. I'll have to change that!

Sandra: Welcome! Coldwater's not so far away from where I'm at, either - just under an hour. And Siohban will be even closer when she moves. I don't know how to start a chapter or anything, but maybe if we can find more gals in our area we could look into it? Also, love your website. :)

Hello to Kristen! I haven't been around MJF in a while, so I haven't met you yet, but we are super close! I live in BC right across from the Meijer on Columbia. Getting ready to move down the road to East Leroy soon though. It's good to see another farmgirl close by!!!!

And a big hello to all the other new Michiganders too! Maybe we should be called Michigeese as ladies because we are definitely NOT ganders :)

Hi Everyone! It's nice to see so many new "faces" on here! If you are anywhere near each other and can make a way to get together that would be wonderful! Me for now I'm down near Toledo(still in Michigan though)but, looking for my own little dream acreage.

I should, Erin. I've got a bag of grapes that I picked from the vine last fall in the freezer, still, and by the time I get to them I'll be harvesting this year's grapes! Have fun with your strawberries. :)

I can't wait to get to the farmer's market this weekend and make some strawberry jam. Anybody else 'putting up' this week?

Hello from Freeport, MI. My garden is finally showing life, and I am very excited. Trying to keep my new fruit trees alive, and working on some other 'summer time' projects.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful day and keeping safe.

A belated hello to Erin and Rustic Reb - yesterday was beautiful down in Augusta (MI not GA). I got my tomatoes and zucchini planted, cleaned up the patio, and started expanding my herb garden. Hope you ladies had a wonderful weekend! :)

Saw this thread and wanted to say 'HI!' from Grand Blanc. What do all you ladies have going on this hottest day of the year yet? I'm thinking ice tea on the porch ;)

Welcome, Dawn! I'm still pretty new, so I don't know of any either, but Pickney is only an hour and forty minutes from where I live, so let me know if you find one! :)

This is a little belated, but I was just looking for other Michigan Farmgirls and found this post. I'm in Augusta, Michigan (halfway between Battle Creek and Kalamazoo), if anyone is ever wondering if there are more of us Lower Peninsula girls out there. :)

I'm in Warren so on the opposite side of the state. I have a similiar problem in finding anybody close and have been having to go an hour or more north to find anybody to meet up with. Finances have been tight so I haven't been able to do that lately either.

Jessica,Jo is in Holland which isn't too awfully far and I have in the past seen someone who was in Zeeland and I think maybe Grandhaven? I hope you find some more farmgirls close by.

Hey there gals - We're still here East of South Haven. I've been sidetracked from FC for a while now (almost a year running around with a jamband) - We still have chickens, cats, dogs and our lonely wether is going to be joined (tomorrow!) by 1 expectant and 1 yearling, alpine girls. We are excited to have milk & make chevre. Hope the rest of you Michiganders are well :)

Hey, Gals.
I'm in Hartland Don't know who else is over on this side of the state. We should plan a get together in the Spring, somewhere in the middle of the state. Any ideas??

I haven't noticed too many from our side of the state, but that doesn't mean they aren't out there.
