That place looks like a dream...and a canning kitchen? Wow!! Love that and at $45,000? Hard to believe. That would almost be worth stretching to get it just to have it. But alas...under contract!! Thanks for posting. Georgann

oh wow..it looks like, well "almost heaven."
I can't believe that price!
We want to be able to buy a place out right, and we have about 100K in equity... I can't imagine getting 5 acres and a home for less than half.
I guess WV is the farmgirl's place to be.. I am going to check out some other listings.

Tornadoes rarely happen in WV, the roads and valleys are too crooked and they run into the sides of the mountains and hills. LOL We lived there for 5 years (my hubby grew up there) and only heard of one tornado the whole time we lived there...he'd never heard of one growing up. Now I grew up in Kansas, and that's a whole 'nother story! hehe

Fawn, that's a beautiful place, and Roane county isn't too far from "civilization" (of Charleston) is it? I can't remember. I keep looking at land and homes in Kansas, they're sooooo cheap compared to here in FL, WV is the same way! But alas, we are here and will be for a long long time, so I "dream" by looking up places and seeing what's out there. lol

Tina, I used to live in "Pinch" in WV.

This property is not very far from our farm and we do not get tonado's in this area. When WV gets a tornado...so they call it, it is actually a wind storm. When a tornado does start here the mountains break it up before it gets started.

that is unbelievable for 45,000. I wonder if its in tornado alley. About 12 years ago Ed & I drove to Tenn. all through I think it was W. Vir., for sale sighs were everywhere and really inexpensive. Finally we asked someone why & they said tornados rip right through here all the time. That was enough for me. But Virginia & W. Virginia to me are so beautiful and not just in spots , it's all through their States. We love driving down there.

Wow, seems almost to good to be true. I don't know anything about the market in that area, but what a great deal.

Not how long, but how well you have lived is the main thing.
