Your place is beautiful. I love the way your house is positioned on the property. So picturesque.

Fawn,
What neat pictures! One of my daughters wants a pig as a pet...I have read some online and tried to learn about the different breeds and which ones might be good as pets, but dunno, lol I never really wanted a pet pig. Is she like a pet? She seems to have quite the personality!
About WV, I have looked at several places there in the past when I lived in MD hoping to be able to buy my little piece of heaven, but it never worked out. It is beautiful in many places there though! Thank you so much for sharing your photos! Until I have my own place, it is so satisfying and uplifting to see how others are living their dreams!

Kate,
Come on down to WV. We got 98 acres give or take with free gas for $195000.00. I have a store, a garage and an apartment on this property. Can not imagine 1 acre for $180000.00. That is unreal.

Fawn,
I am a small town girl who is living in the big city(Salt Lake City) and looking at your place makes me want to cry! I wish I could just come on over, put my hands in the dirt, scratch the heads of your animals and pretend your farm was my farm, if only for the afternoon! DH and I are planning on moving to the country, and are looking, but it just can't happen soon enough!
AAHH the simple life!
Love to you and yours
Kate
ps get this, here in the SLC valley they are selling "ranchettes" 1 acre for $180,000! And all of the restrictions on what you cannot build are staggering! Rural life anyone?

Louise was raised in the city in a cage for the first year of her life. Her first owner...my friend Rose wanted her to be out in the country where she could get fresh air and roam around so we brought her to the farm. I got slightly attached to her. She is a big baby. She eats lots and lots of graham crackers...lol

I have no idea what kind of chicken she is. I have over 60 hens and the rest pretty much ignore me except for Lucy. She follows me everywhere I go. I give her treats and have spoiled her. LOL

What a pretty farm, Fawn. The pictures are great! Such a large variety of critters. What kind of hen is Lucy? Is she a Buff Orpington by any chance?
