It's ON!

July 29 & 30, 2006

Rock Falls IL (call or email for more detailed directions)

Spaces available for camping, hotels within 5 miles of homestead.

Potluck both days, bring what you need and we'll share with all.

This will be an informal get together for like-minded people who would like to share with/learn from others.

Possible events/classes:

Blacksmithing
Spinning
Weaving
Animal Care
Soapmaking
Harnessing & Driving draft horses
Milking a cow
Gardening
Cooking on open fire with cast iron
???

If you have a talent you would like to share with others, bring what you need.

There will be no set time for classes/demonstrations. In keeping with our adage, "We don't have a plan and we're sticking to it!"

We are asking that folks do NOT bring pets (i.e. dogs etc) and NO ALCOHOL!

If folks want to bring livestock to sell/trade, please let us know ahead of time. You will have to provide your own pens - we need to know how large an area you need for bio-security at our place.

This event does sound like a fun day...hope it all goes well. It's great when people plan things and put in the energy to carry them out. I am too far away to attend. But then I am close enough to Mary Janes Farm...so one shall not complain! I am looking forward to being a vendor there.
