Posted - Jun 27 2010 : 07:01:49 AM We went and looked at a couple of acres to rent yesterday. There were other people wanting it, but I want it more! So we are turning in our apps this morning and going to hope the landlord picks us! Check out the property at http://hometoenjoy.com. SOOOO excited!
We currently rent a house near downtown Dallas, and the rent is almost TWICE as much as this place! I wanted to cut it down so we can save money for a farm of our own. Also, I work so much to pay for this place that I never even have time to enjoy it.

Posted - Jul 28 2010 : 05:39:59 AM I agree with all of the ladies, it all happens for a reason. The right place will come along. I will pray for your husband, my DD is in the National Guard and looking to ship overseas in March.

They say everything happens for a reason, and that is so true. You will find a better place - just watch and wait. I can say this because it just happened to me. I had an offer in on a house in east Texas for 9-1/2 months, and the bank was taking their time acting on it. The end of June I decided to look on line for another house in the same town and I found it! I looked at it 2 days later, made an offer, and we came to an agreement within 24 hours! And it is sooooo much better for me than the other house. NOTE: The day after I found this house, the owner of the other house decided not to sell. There was definitely someone looking out for me.
We live close - I am in Richardson, TX.
Take care

Posted - Jul 17 2010 : 3:31:24 PM My SIL was terribly upset when a house he wanted was sold to someone else. But it was not the great place they found a couple of months later. Saving up money and ideas is a great way to deal with the wait for the right place. Best wishes! Susan

Posted - Jul 14 2010 : 8:48:34 PM I wouldn't worry about it Jessica...that just means that the perfect place is still out there waiting for you! It's a great idea to make a collage, then you can organize your thoughts and find exactly what you want

Posted - Jul 10 2010 : 1:03:01 PM The right place will come along, we looked for 3 years before we found the farm that would work for us, right now we do a five hour ride from our home in ma to maine. But it is a different world, there so peaceful as my husband says there is a stop light on every corner here up there you can go miles with not traffic or stop lights. And peaceful. |

Posted - Jul 10 2010 : 12:53:08 PM I did not. :-( I have decided to rent a little all bills paid p.o.s. apartment so I can save up for my farm! DH is leaving for military training for 4 months in a few weeks, so we will try to get our little place when he gets back. Meanwhile, I am going to make a bulletin board collage of the things I love and want to remind me every day of why I live there and what I am trying to achieve!

Posted - Jun 27 2010 : 12:58:05 PM Thanks! We faxed the app over this morning. The landlord said he'd call this evening. I sure hope we get it because I already have life out there all planned out! And I started a local chapter so we can have meetings by the campfire. :-)
