Spring is here and my head is spining with all the projects I have been thinking of all winter!
Raised bed gardens this year, a flag pole, new clothes line, and to hang the school bell I inherited from my mothers one room schoolhouse!

Lets see...prep and paint the house, build a new chicken coop, replace a few doors, and screen doors. Pain the bathroom, build raised beds, make a sheltered kennel for my outside cats, so that the coyotes quit eating them...I have a HUGE list...first up is my continual dust bustin', declutterin' spring cleaning and getting the garden in!

The waether is not holding out for this farm girl to get the outside projects done...Snow in the forcast for tonight.I got some seeds planted in pots and some other projects started. Oh well, this just means I have more time to dream up more PROJECTS!

It overwhelms me sometimes, but yet I'm so happy to live in the beautiful country.
I have a quilt to finish, peas to plant, weeding and new raised beds to build, a lampshade to re-cover. I want to make a quiet place to sit this summer with a bird bath and birdhouses, flowers.

Oh man, the list grows everytime I go outside, lol. The goat barn/chicken coop needs mucking in an all-winter build-up kind of way. Our big barn which is mainly tools/equipment is a huge mess since we split ways with our biz partner (my cousin) and he took his stuff out, very unorganized now (thinking about it, hardware needs to be fixed too). Dh wants to put a pergola on top of our 2nd floor deck, I WILL get the mud room tiled and a little wood stove in there this summer. Gardens to clean up, seedlings to transfer, driveway that needs another load of crushed concrete, piles of dirt & junk that need to get cleaned up, burned or gone... I think I'm going to do like Jane & go lay down ;)

Till up the old pig pen to make into an 'experimental' garden -- a place where I can grow things I THINK I want, see how they grow, how they look/taste/keep. Been wanting to do this for a year or two, and now I'm getting my chance. Why is it so hard and take so long to talk dh into doing things that are gonna be so good for the farm???????? :)

Dearest and I were just saying this over supper. The lists just keep getting longer. It will never get done but we made a huge dent in things today. Problem is...........we keep finding more things that need doing.

Well, Sat. I got my little barn painted. I have had that on a list for awhile now. Done.
Clean out the goat barn. Spread on the gardens.
Make a few more raised beds.
Clean this house out!!!

Aww Jane! Think of how good it will be to get those things done. Non of them sound like fun, got any fun ones to toss in to make not all seem like work?

It is sometimes a shorter list of things I am NOT going to work on. Put up the brick beehive oven by May and build a counter type thing to go with it. Clean out the pump house and use for canning kitchen. Paint house trim, always need to fix fence, put up outside lighting, tired of dodging skunks at night. Fix all hardware on barn doors, most barely holding on, put in a hookup for a generator that runs the entire house (maybe turn generator to run on veggie oil but need to build a stil first),cut more wood, get my gas line fixed so I can use the darn oven again, start replacing trees in orchard, get some gravel for the mud bog pit otherwise know as the driveway, replace the electric service coming into the house it is very very worn. I am tired just thinking about this, I need to go lay down.

Replace the fan, the plumbing, the bathtub, some framing, most likely the subfoor and the ceiling in the bathroom. Replace some plumbing that leads to the outside hose-bibs. Build at least one raised bed in the front yard for tomatoes. Dig up lots of prairie grass with a pick and feed it to the chickens, then cover the dirt with either landscape fabric, black plastic or cardboard to keep the weeds from coming back so I can plant the area next year. That is all I'm committing to or else I'll get depressed:D

Oh goodness, where to start. Replace some trim on the house. Hopefully replace 2 windows on the North side (I live in an old house and we are constantly working on it). Clean out flower beds and plant new flowers. Fence off my garden. Get travel trailer ready for a camping trip so I can get away from all these projects!

I have started my seeds, need to get the 3 garden beds ready, putting up a privacy fence, plant my apple and cherry trees when they arrive, stock up items for the farmer's market, paint my birdbath, hang my hammock...I am sure there's more. Find my to-do list!
