DH just called from work because the loan secretary just called him and said we may not be able to close on the land tomorrow. It seems that the "girl downstairs" can't quite figure out how to do the part where our stocks are pledged as collaterol (sp). Of course, they told us last week this was no problem, and they waited until 4:00 the day before closing to realize this. It's a real problem because the seller is taking off work for this tomorrow and we won't know until sometime during the day, plus our loan officer's secretary and the loan officer are horrible about returning calls or keeping us informed. So we'll probably sit here in limbo all morning at the least. This is so frustrating, especially since the seller has another offer -- cash!

Anyway, I hate to call on you ladies again, but if you're so inclined, we would appreciate your prayers.

Patti,
When I read your first post you had me holding my breath and saying, "oh, no!" Luckily I kept reading all the way down and could breate again in a sigh of relief for you and then, like your husband, had a great big grin and saying, "YES! Thank you, Lord."

Congratulations! It's farm living for you all the way now. I"m so happy for you and you are so due for some good and happy news. How are you going to celebrate? With our nice weather lately, I'd go set up a tent and camp out there for the weekend. You could hide Easter eggs in some great places. :o)

Blessed Easter celebrations to you and your family.

In His hands,
Lynda

Pray in faith and you will not live in doubt.

Yay!!! So (since I'm fairly new here) tell me again about your farm. I know there's no house on the property, but how big is it? What are you plans for it?

Ladies, thank you so much! Our loan officer called this morning and said that he personally called about the stock and it will take 4 weeks for the stock to be "certificated" and sent to us to hand over to them as collaterol. He talked to the president of the bank, who is a personal friend (through our sons), and he said the president said we are to close today as scheduled. When we get the certificates we'll take them in to be put in our file.

We're good to go, ladies! At sometime after 4:00 today, we'll have our farm!!! I'm trying not to get too excited, but I think it's a losing battle. My husband is really quiet-natured, and he's walking around the house smiling from ear to ear. Lots of nervous energy in this house today!
