I posted this on the weather forum, but wanted to make sure everyone got, so I am also posting here.

I wanted to make sure that all our Farmgirls made it through the resent string of tornadoes that came through the mid-west over the week?

We made it through fine here in Central Illinois, after spending and hour in the basement. South of us in Springfield, they had extensive damage. Luckily, there haven't been any reported fatalities. I know areas in Missouri weren't so lucky.

If any of our girls need help, could someone let us know?

I also wanted to remind everyone about their disaster preparedness plans. Lets make sure we are all prepared. No matter where everyone lives they need one. Earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, winter storms, and man-made disasters can effect all of us.

Not how long, but how well you have lived is the main thing.

I'm so sorry for anyone that went through those storms. I hope all our farmgirls and their families are safe. I live in the middle of Tornado Alley so ALWAYS being prepared is a must. I keep a bag packed with 2 changes of clothes for all four of us, toiletries, dog leashes, and dog/cat food for at least 2 days. In our storm shelter we always keep batteries, water, non-perishable food/drinks, radio, flashlights. You never know when it will hit. Our last tornado here in our immediate city was 1979. It practically leveled downtown, it's like we are almost due for something to happen.

Elizabeth you are right, we all need to be on top of these disasters as much as possible. Everyone out there is in our hearts & prayers. My sister in law lives in Missouri, said itm was really bad.
