Posted - Jul 22 2009 : 1:02:07 PM I just found this news, girls, and thought I'd pass the word. This lovely farm isn't far from me; I've visited it a few times for Pumpkin Patch field trips with my kids' school classes. It's dreamy! They're asking $375,000. Here's the lowdown:
For Sale - Mountain Home Berry Farm
www.mountainhomeberryfarm.com
Independent & self sufficient family farm business featuring 23 acre profitable and growing berry/vegetable/Fall Festival operation.
Includes a 3 bed/2 bath house and full line of equipment along with petting zoo animals and a country store. 20 year established operation very well supported. If you can grow it, it will sell! The property also includes a new combination pole building/pavillion, barn, animal shelters and three small corrals. An historic spring house and year round spring add to the charm.
In the spring the Farm currently produces asparagus, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, onions, and more. Other features include underground drip irrigation, 2 wells, and an irrigation pond.
In the fall we host an established Fall Festival program featuring pumpkins, gourds, hayrides, a corn maze, and petting zoo! We are the favorite school field trip to a couple thousand kids annually. Our country store features jams, butters, salsas, ciders, sauces, spices, and other items.
Several opportunites for expansion, plus owner will train and consult new owner for 1 year.
Mountain Home is a fast growing community with good schools and friendly people as well as some of the best fishing in the country! We are located in the beautiful Arkansas Ozarks and the farm is 4 miles from the trophy waters of the famous White River.
If interested, please contact us at 870-425-7028. For additional details concerning the farm for sale please visit www.owners.com and search for listing number WTA9713

Posted - Aug 26 2009 : 01:00:13 AM It looks beautiful. I think I would be very sad to leave if I were the owners. We have a place right down the road from us and its for sale too, and absolutley gorgeous. The people that own it want to move to the city so their daughter can go to a school with a swim team.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things. Robert Brault |

Posted - Aug 26 2009 : 12:22:52 AM I, too, wonder why the owners are selling. It's very generous of them to offer to train the new owners for a year.
