We beat the rain and got our fields seeded down with grass seed and oats. Hoping to have a good crop. Next comes rock pickin time. The most dreaded time of year. And we have an excellant crop of rocks this year.

WE had rain and snow on May 16. Gosh it was a cold weekend. We were able to pick a 4 acre field. Total picking time spent on that one field was 7 hours. We had 4 hours of using a bucket on the really big ones. Hopefully this Sat. we are picking on a bigger field. We are trying to round up as much help as possible. Paying 5 dollars an hour and a meal. I know, not much, but if we were rich we would have the equipment to get the job done. :)

Hey Michele, did you get any rain with that snow the other day? Hope you were able to get a few of those rocks out!

Me, too. I have an abundance here. I need to get on that job as well.

I'm glad you got your fields planted and hope you get a great harvest.

I am glad you beat the rain and got everything seeded. Rock picking is something that always has to be done. We do the same in our horse pastures. MB

Michele-
I wish we were closer I would love to help pick rocks. I have been asking some farmers that I know if my daughters could come pick rocks and keep some for our garden borders. I can't find anyone who would let us keep some. I'm glad you beat the rain and got the fields seeded down. Have a great evening!
xoxo- Lori
