This is our first Fall on the new farm ( 6 acres). What a wonderful time of year!! The fall garden is planted, the garlic is going to be planted this week. Beautiful fall colors are popping up everywhere. The evenings are cool and the days are so nice. The split rail fence is up around the yard and the we have grass!!! Last week we started on an outdoor room. It is about 25 yards from the back of the house. The area is oval shaped with a clearing and some large trees on one end. We built a fire pit and two sets of L shaped benches. Tiki torches are around the outside of the area. We plan on building a barbque, a long table (for buffets), a picnic table and we want to put a hammock and swing and horseshoes.

On Friday night I sat out on the back deck with my DH. We looked over the mountains and then sat and gazed at the beautiful star filled sky. How lucky and how blessed we are to have this place.

there is a seed to plant in every heart

As I finished your post, I had a tear in my eye. I know exactly how deeply felt those moments are when you've worked hard, accomplished so much, & then you take the time to sit, to enjoy, to take it all in, & to actually be in your life. Thanks for sharing that story.

I can relate to what you're saying, Tamara. Even after being here for almost 6 years, there isn't a day that goes by when I don't go out the door and think, "How lucky and how blessed we are to have this place."

It sounds so great, Tamara. You have to post some pictures. We are as proud as you sound. MB

That sounds wonderful Tamara! Very restful, and your outside room seems like a place where everyone will want to be!

It sounds like you have found the place of your dreams. I am so happy for both of you. The outdoor room will be a terrific addition. What fun you will have out there. Sometimes life is just so good isn't it?
