Have any of ya'll heard of people using above ground septic tanks? My dad is looking at a piece of property and there is no perc site due to the water table being really low. What do people in the rock mountains use? I'm searching google, but not really finding anything useful.

What I have seen used here are referred to as Sand Mound Septic Systems. They are basically built on top of the ground. I believe there are approx. 40' in diameter and the mound rises 4'.
