My dad is looking at a piece of property and there is no perc site due to the water table being really low. What do people in the rock mountains use? Posted - Aug 30 2007 : 2:33:33 PM What I have seen used here are referred to as Sand Mound Septic Systems. They are basically built on top of the ground. I believe there are approx. 40' in diameter and the mound rises 4'.
