Posted - Jul 08 2005 : 8:33:17 PM DH and I made an offer on a sweet 20 acre parcel with a nice 7-year-old manufactured home, it's about 20 miles west of Spokane just north of Highway 2, a very rural area, lots of wheat fields. The property is about half in fields and half wooded. Looks like a bit of goat heaven to me! We are very hopeful that the sale will go through and we can move on out to the country some time this fall. Now I just need a job transfer!

Posted - Jul 10 2005 : 11:43:18 AM We're over the first hurdle - our offer was accepted and we have pre-qualified for the loan. Now for an inspection and appraisal and we're on our way!!!!!!!!!!! DH and I are very happy and excited to start this new adventure. He's going to be 60 this year and I just turned 50. I'm divorced, and had to wait over 20 years for the children to graduate from high school so that I could move away from the beautiful but outrageously overpriced and overpopulated King/Snohomish county area (Seattle). It feels like a dream come true for both of us.

Posted - Jul 08 2005 : 8:57:17 PM Thanks!! The seller has until Monday to answer our offer, and if that goes well, then the financing fun begins. We are staying somewhat calm and trust that if it's right for us, it will happen. And, of course, we're willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen! Will keep you posted on our progress.
