I have found my dream farm. I like everything about this place. I don't think I could get my husband to go for it though. Take a peak at this one:

I know I would love central PA. It is still close enough to my brother when he moves here this summer....to D.C.

We ended up just going to the beach this weekend, rather than trekking all over WV. It was nice to do nothing for a day! LOL

I have been searching listings across the country and am still looking. No rush...Iknow that just right place will come at the right time.

You gals are right that laundry room is wonderful. One could set up her ironing board and never have to take it down and watch out the window while ironing!!

I cannot believe that price!!! Its the cutest place ever! That place would go for a zillion $$$$$ here and it would be featured in In Style as one of the celebrity homes! Oh I hope you get it! My son just got back from Tennesee, visiting his girlfriends mom and loved it! Best wishes!

Well WV is so pretty..
My husband is from there..
We try to go back once a year or so to see his people there..
& there always seems to be such great deals on houses AND land..
So i think your definatly going to find something HE wants there..
For us.. over these 30 years of marriage, we never really wanted to live there due to the lack of employment.. unless you were willing to work in the mines.. & that was what i kept thinking of for my Sons as they would be growing up there too.. Almost all of my husbands family has worked in the mines at one time or another.. what a hard life.. that or logging.. which seemed nearly as bad..
It was a hard choice for us.. because it is just so beautiful there.. & his family is so much fun.. They'd love to have us..
& growing up around a HUGE family like that would have been great for my kids too.. but.. we opted to not go with it..
I hope it works out the way it should for You Aunt George!!!
who knows.. maybe you'll both see something different along the way! I personaly think Tenn. is a very happy medium!!! Still close enough to WV..!
I think we have decideed that this is our hopeful state!
Have a safe trip.. & have fun this weekend.. I can't wait to hear how it goes!

Me too gals....I love the built in laundry risers!! Well, it is a no go with hubby. He has his heart set on West Virginia.

We are driving up there this weekend just to look around...Big sigh....BUT I love the looks of WV too. HE said the house was perfect, but he wants it on lots of land...not just 5 acres! Oh, well.

So any WV farmgirls out there.....any suggestions? We thought we'd take the scenic tour on 60 for the weekend and see the waterfalls, etc. Possibly up around the state forests too.

But I LOVE that house in TN!!!!!!

Oh, gosh! That place is lovely! And such a good bargain... I love the laundry room and kitchen- and the neighbours Imagine having all that good fresh local milk, fruit, and veg.

It's Perfect! That house alone is worth the asking price in some markets- let alone the land!

Wow! It NEVER hurts to dream big! That is a beautiful place. And I agree with Miss Nancy - an extra special dinner indeed!

That house here would go for about $500,000 at least. I love the red kitchen too with the yellow walls and the little barn for some goats and my hubby could build me a little chicken house. We could finish off the basement for his "he man woman hater's club." And I could finish off above the garage for my sewing and crafting room! Oh, I'm going to talk to him about it tonight. We could easily pull up roots to move there and I have always loved Tennessee!!!

Didn't ya just love the simplicity of it and I loved every color in the house and the raised washer/dryer platforms and the exterior is maintenance free AND it has a stocked bluegill pond and a pasture....not too big and not too small and quiet neighbors!!

Georgann, It is perfect. Really, that property would have quite a price tag on it here in MI too!

They have some great furntiure pieces in the house too.

Good luck! Ann

A place like that out here would cost between 6-800,000 big dollare. It is beautiful. I love the red kitchen. Pinch hubby til he says OK. MB
