Posted - Jun 29 2005 : 07:54:53 AM Alright you farmgirls, you are partly responsible for the offer we made on a 18 acre piece of land with a huge old only-partially-falling-down barn. And it comes with a 20-year old donkey. All fenced in (rodeo rider lived there before)and the house is livable although not my style (vinyl everything, although a one-room log cabin from 1820 in there somewhere, and asbestos shingles under the vinyl on the other part - that's the big downfall). A few miles from some of the best bass fishing in the country, one mile from the James River, and not far from the AT. Totally compulsive, and maybe insane! We'll see - the offer isn't accepted yet, and we can still get out of it if we need to, too. Wow. Thanks for all the encouragement. Kirsten who may be in Buchanon, VA |

Posted - Jun 29 2005 : 09:47:06 AM Kirsten - how did you like the donkey? That made me laugh when I read it, and I suddenly had the feeling that the donkey would still be king of the hill when you move in! You better make friends! I hope you get the property. Sounds like a good place.
