My thank you card to Grace has been on my mailbox for two days but the post lady does not have to pick it up because she isn't delivering mail to me. She walks down the sidewalk in front of my house but because of the USPS rules she doesn't have to pick up my mail. I feel better after letting off a little steam, but Grace's thank you card is still on my mailbox.

I also have a few left of my embossed cards by a company called 'Carol Wilson Fine Arts," called 'For Arts Sake'.. a company in Australia..
Mine are Tea Cups design.. They come in a little embossed 'pouch.
I like that your cards by Punch Studio, have beautiful envelopes too,,, mine are just plain white.
Gotta love our sweet cards..

Grace so happy you received my thank you card. Linda "quiltee" gifted me a box of the cards several years ago. I only have a few of the cards left.

Hi Sara,,
No worries about the Thank you card... and I agree, how hard is it to p/u a piece of out going mail..
Because I live out in the country and our box is out on the road, beyond my view, so we bought a 'locking' mail box... and while it has a compartment for out going mail, I don't use it. We have 'Contract' mail carriers.. they are not Post Office employees, these are rural mail carries who bid for the contract to deliver our mail..
So I don't leave mail for p/u because they are not required to p/u out going mail,,
Years ago I walked up to the mail box, and found a stack of mail, 3 piece of which were from my neighbor,, yep, her out going mail!
I have also received my daughter's mail that was put in my mail box,, unfortunately she lives 2.9 miles up the road on a different road!
Country life can be interesting..
I use to have a P.O. Box, $54 pr year,, but it kept creeping up and when it hit $92.00 2x a year I said bye bye!
We have had to post signs for both the mail carrier and other delivery services (fedex/ups/dahl/amazon) to Not leave mail out by the mail box, or driveway gate.. only at the front door.. and they still have left mail out by the road.. Thank goodness for mail tracking so I can watch for deliveries.
But, after my long winded story,, Thank you for trying, and no worries.

I have never heard of such a stupid thing! Sara, I am sorry you mail person is so lazy she can’t help you out!! It just isn’t right at all that this should be happening.

Kista I have thought about that too. The thank you card is important to me but it's not like a water or electric bill that has to be there at a certain time.
The thank you card was picked up today and I got a mailbox full of junk mail.

I am so sorry Sara. That is frustrating. Thank goodness it isn't a time sensitive letter.Hopefully it gets picked up soon.

What really tees me off is you buy a stamp than the USPS doesn't honor it by picking up your mail whether there is mail to be delivered or not.

Oh my Goodness Sarah, if your flag is up showing you have outgoing mail, how many seconds would it take to pick it up?!?! Maybe the rules say she doesn’t HAVE to, but a little common courtesy and kindness is all it takes!! I feel your frustration.
A day hemmed in prayer is less likely to unravel.
