On the night of Saturday, Dec. 28th I experienced sudden onset of extreme abdominal/torso pain. My hubby whisked me off to ER and after some testing, etc. I was transported by ambulance to a larger hospital 50 miles away.
I was admitted in the wee hours of Sunday, Dec. 29 and was in the hospital for 8 days where I had more testing, etc and emergency major surgery. I was never so miserable in my life and scared too.
Thankfully the surgery went well and I was discharged on Jan 5th. I did develop incision infection which meant 2 more ER visits and antibiotic treatment. Again, thankful that that is cleared up incision nearly healed up.

This is on top of Parkinson's disease which has been a struggle for me anyway. So, now it's more of a challenge and I'm just now starting to feel a bit less like I've been beat up and pulled through a knothole backwards 29 times . . . or more.
My hubby describes this as having "my guts tied in a huge knot and pulled out through my nose". I'll spare you all the details.

I had a plan for making my cards for the January card swap and January ATC swap, but I've been knocked for such a "huge loop" I'll not be doing anything other than recovery for a while. I'm still trying to get my legs to work and not be lightheaded and shaky.

So, I just thought I'd let know how why I've been missing in action and ask for your prayers for my recovery and rejuvenation.
THANK YOU SO MUCH
Farmgirl hugs to all from CJ

P.S. And, when I went in for my surgery followup ... in the city 50 miles away . . . our car broke down. We called our neighbors who came with trailer and loaded up our car and us and our dog and hauled us back home. SO THANKFUL for these neighbors!!
