I wish the arrival of Fall had been visible down here! Instead, we got a devastating hurricane followed by another week of hot and humid which is typical after a big storm passes. Hubby and I went to Utah on Sept. 23 on a tour of the magnificent national and state parks so we missed the hurricane events here in town. Mostly we just got a ton of tree debris and some large limbs. But all over the city there were trees and power lines down and some homes had wind damage. My heart aches for all those in Florida along the west coast that saw their small towns and homes destroyed . Then that storm ripped up the road to completely ruin everything in its path in Georgia, North Carolina, and parts of Eastern Tennessee. Fall sure did arrive this year in one of the worst situations the nation has endured in many years.

Yay! We are having rain and in the 70s all this week. I never thought I'd be so happy to have rain. Our treetops have all turned brown. Maybe this will bring life and color back to everything. We had no apples this year due to no rain. We always have rain in the fall so it makes it feel like fall and lower than 90 temps are welcome too!

I've been at a retreat where the weather was in the 80s and came home to 100. It will be awhile before it is really fall here.

Happy Fall! Our weather can't make up its mind. Last week felt more like Fall but this week we are pretty warm again. Who knows when it will officially be Fall here. But I am enjoying all my Fall decorations and the yummy Fall treats!

While standing on my side porch talking with Kimberly who had delivered my groceries we felt a cool crisp breeze, you know a fall breeze. For the last couple of weeks I have felt cool breezes, but fall wasn't in the air until today. So, for me fall has now arrived in my part of Texas.

Happy Fall to everyone. It is cooler and the leaves are changing here. The harvest is gathered in and time for wood cutting.

Oh happy fall day here in the Chicago area. We finally dropped to the 70's and have been getting rain at last today. We've had a drought going for several weeks and with the 90's temps everything was browning up. I am hoping to get in the 60's and lower. I'm itching to wear my jeans and sweaters at last!

Though I don't know if I can since it is my favorite season! Alas, we are still in the 90s here. I hope fall kicks in soon!
