Please pray for all our farmsisters who are being affected right now by these fires!! By the dangerous smoke!! Its awful! So much loss of life and devastation everywhere! Please pray, send up good thoughts!!
I know April for sure is affected by the smoke, but Karen and Grace and others, I'm unsure of.
THIS IS AT GRACES DOORWAY!! They are evacuating Medical Lake right now!!! If anyone has any information or close to her please help or find out if she's ok???
Jean said the fires are near her but they are still safe! She's tried to get a hold of Grace. My place is open if you want ill buy a plane ticket!! Just get out of there!
Just wanted to share.

My area has been safe, thank goodness!
It has been bad in the mountains though.
I pray for all those up North and in Oregon as well!

Oh, Grace, thank goodness. That's good news. It's so nice to hear that your community is coming together to help each other. It still takes a village these days and seems "community" is hard to come by as well. We had some reprieve today as well, no rain, but we actually were able to see blue sky and sunshine, first time in about 2 weeks.

Good news!! We got much needed rain and yesterday most of Medical Lake was down graded from a Level-3 evaluation to level 1 & 2
There are about 260 standing homes still with out electricity/utilities..
Today various agencies will be assembling at the High School to help people with resources and paper work etc.
Now if we can get the rains up to Canada to help them.
Today is the 1st day I can go outside with out a mask on.
Continued prayers for California and Oregon and every were, that people are being challenged by fire, hurricane earthquake etc.

Cindy (aussie chick) emailed me yesterday. Here is what is in her area of Oregon ...
"Fortunately, the fires aren't too close to Bend, but we are certainly getting our fair share of smoke from those fires south of town. The poor air quality makes it a little miserable being outside at the moment. They are forecasting rain for this afternoon (coming from the hurricane which is hitting parts of California at the moment). The rain would be very welcome here!"
Then she said this morning that rain hadn't gotten there yet.

I hope and pray today that things are quieting down some and the fires are not raging out of control everywhere. April, I am praying that your area does not get worse and need evacuations. Like you, I am so sad for all the poor wild animals and birds. Adding all of them to my prayer list as well.

We are surrounded by wild fires. Our smoke and air quality has been awful, toxic and has averaged between 200 - 500, was close to 500 a couple days, we could only see about a 1/4 mile ahead of us in the car earlier this week. Ash has been falling outside. The smokes clears out a bit if we're fortunate to receive a breeze. We're smoked in. No evacuations in Redmond or Bend. I let my fur baby out to go potty and he comes in smelling like smoke - it absorbs into his fur. He's not sure what's going on out there and barely wants to go out. I don't blame him. We've had a cougar spotting twice in NW Bend this week. Poor animals. I send prayers out to everyone being affected by fires and smoke. Please be safe everyone!

OOPS! just spotted this,, Thank you all, we are currently safe,,,
I posted a rather long winded, message/update about Medical Lake and the 'Gray Fires" here... I posted on my MIA in California post..
We live in Medical Lake, population +/- 5,000.. but we live on the outskirts of town,,,on the NE side, just a few miles from the most dangerous part of the fire.
Some friends in town have posted photos of the devastation, so heart breaking.
Thank you ladies who have been staying in touch with me.. sorry for the ramblings.. my brain was not functioning....
Continue to pray for Maui HI and include us too..
you can search "Gray Fire, Medical Lake WA, to read more about the fire and the surrounding fires.

I got word from Darlene yesterday. The smoke is pretty bad and she's lost internet. Everything is being shut down she said for the next few days. So Judith could also very well be affected too!! Keeping them and their families close to our hearts and in our prayers! Those affected by the hurricane too. Maybe the rain will travel up and bring relief to these fires!!
