Just finished revitalizing this dresser for our completely redone guest bedroom-We did everything from stripping the hardwood floors, repainting baseboards-doors-trim, etc. and replaced the original 1920 ceiling light. It's been a journey!

We found this beauty-slightly worn and sad along with her sister cabinet on cabinet dresser on marketplace as well as an old-slightly worn and also sad, cedar chest. I'm thinking pre-war early 1930-1940 era, which I can imagine something similar might very well have been found in our old home at that time. Our house was built in 1904.

I used something new to me-Howard products to spruce up the original finish-my stripping days are long gone, and I have to say I'm very pleased with the outcome!

Don't you love it when you find something so well made with a lot of character and bring it back to its original glory for another generation to enjoy and admire?

I'll post pictures of the "sister" dresser when I'm finished....

Beautiful! That was made by a craftsman.
I'll have to look into Howard products. I have projects I'd like to do, but I don't like to strip either.
