washed a couple quilts today. The trip around the world I made 25 years ago at least. It was falling apart and my sister gave it a new life by quilting it. The scrappy one, dont know its name my ma made for us a couple years ago.

So pretty! I love quilts! I inherited a few from my Mom in law years ago and I've got one my Great Grandmother's church quilting bee made me when we got married 35 years ago! I'm now learning to quilt my own. I find it really relaxing and gratifying to create something so beautiful. Michele you have wonderful treasures there!

Michele, what lovely quilts you have! There is something very calming and reassuring to watch old quilts getting a freshening up again. Sometimes a quilt is our only bit of tangible connection to a past loved one and using and enjoying them is a special joy.

The scrappy one is a strip quilt in the Spider Web setting.

Beautiful quilts Michele! I bet they will smell really fresh after their washing and hanging on the clothesline. Amazing how old the one quilt is. Enjoy sleeping on one of them tonight.
