Ahh,,, day. 3 of renovation of our bathroom…
The last time I survived a renovation job was 15 years ago, complete down to the studs… new kitchen. 6 weeks of using my guest bathroom for a kitchen! Lol!

Since then we have done renovations but not so intensive.. Now we are having a new fresh bathroom installed… this is day 3, the hard part is getting trades people out here.. Spokane is having a major growth boom… construction going on everywhere! So finding a trades person who can schedule us in is crazy!!! Everyone is 2-3 months out!!! So we are going to have to fill in the slack!

On the plus side… once the bathroom is completed, we move on to the kitchen cabinets!

I am too old to be in the ‘construction’ business!!! Lol!

On the plus side, the guys delivering the new fridge were on time, professional and courteous…
Luv my new fridge!

Now if I could just get someone out here to install the flooring.
It drives my poor hubby Nuts! After his back surgery, he has noticed there are some things he can no longer do, like the flooring.

I am so sorry Grace. That is very frustrating. Did he ever show up or have you started to look for someone else?

Oh Nancy,, I probably would have had a coronary the minute I saw the Demo! Lol!
I have to keep myself busy or else the ‘mess’ would make me Nuts! Lol!

We contracted with a bathroom remodel company… but we are also doing some of the work ourselves…

The colors are in the cream/tan/brown/grey hues.
I have spice/rust-orange towels, and decorative art for the walls…
Somewhat feminine but safe for a man’s comfort and ego! Lol!

I must admit, I am tired of using my sofa for a storage room ! I will be glad when it’s all completed.

There is such a building boom going on up here, that getting a Good reliable contractor is challenging.

Been there done that. I came home one day and Hubby had knocked out the entire sink and towel closet. I didn't have a second bathroom for months. So glad it is 99% done. I can actually soak in a tub again. I still need to hang some artwork.

Gracie Grace, what is your theme and color scheme? Hopefully you won't have to wait too long to get it done.

I hope you wont have to wait too long Grace. Construction never seems to go fast enough. It will definitely be worth it though!

What fun Grace. We are still working on Kent’s bathroom in the Basement where his apartment will be. It’s been 8 much since our plumber started and he still is not finished. Soon though!

Grace, hang in there with these remodeling projects. Getting trades people in my town is hard too. It can take weeks to a month of so to get them started and then things needed can be on backorder. We need to do a few things but I can't face the chaos and mess it will make. In the meantime, we continue to make do.

I feel for you Grace. We just finished a down to the studs kitchen remodel. 2 months of noise, dust and people braving the winter roads to get here. But it was so worth it and I love my new kitchen. We did the upstairs bathroom last year and will finish the downstairs bathroom next year. It all takes a lot of time and money and we never seem to have enough of both at the same time.
