My great great Grandfather made this for his wife Mary. He carved the date on the end, "1889". It still rolls perfect. It came down in the Family and my Grandma gave it to me when I first got married.
Rain and cold here today, Have a fire in the fireplace like we do often.
I was going to show a picture of some of my scrape booking but the rolling pin won today.

Nancy, your handmade rolling pin is a beautiful family heirloom! What a fantastic kitchen essential to have enjoyed all these years!! I also love your Aunt's glass candle holder. It is unusual and very pretty!!

Oh Nancy Jo, how beautiful and something hand made by your great great grandfather. I would be estatic to have something like that passed down to me. I do have my grandmothers rolling pin, but not near as old and definately not hand made and dated. So special!

Hi HEATHER,
The candle holder was my Aunts, she passed away last year at 106 years old.
Another of my favorite things.

What a treasure! Can you imagine all the goodies it made :) I love your candle holder too. Is it another family treasure or one of your amazing finds?
It's cold here today also - there were a few flurries floating around this morning. Hard to believe, but it was 58 and there was a thunderstorm yesterday!
Thanks for sharing.
