hubby and I and our Ginger pup drove over
To the lake, 14miles away,,, had a lovely
Morning kayaking and Ginger had fun jumping into the Lake!

I have a sit in kayak and hubby has a sit on top kayak,, I have had mine for about7+ years,, but I am thinking about getting a new on, like my husbands, but his an 11 1/2 ft, 75lbs,
I want the 10 1/2 ft model, that weighs about 10lbs lighter...
Thinking Thinking... hmmmm...

We were going to go kayaking this evening but the weather dudes said it was going to rain,,, so we didn't go.., go figure! it rained all of 3 drops! GRRR!
So we will try again on Wednesday evening.
We have Ginger in her cute pink w/white polka dots life vest... She loves to swim but with short legs, she tires out faster.. kinda like me! lololol!

Grace, that looks very beautiful and nice for a hot day. I have only been kayaking once and it was so much fun. It looks like Ginger really enjoys her adventures.

Grace, give Ginger a hug for me. Every time I see her in her wee life jacket looking every bit the captain of her ship I have to smile.

Oh gosh, Grace, the lake looks glorious!! We have inflatable kayaks but I don’t feel real comfortable using them in the Columbia River.

Judith, I too am not a big Ocean fan,, but give me a calm quiet lake any day and I will be more than happy to paddle around...
There is a little eatery in town on the way to the lake, it's fun to stop in and pick up a scone or croissant, we bring chilled water... and head over to the lake.
The views are so relaxing... as for Ginger,, she loves being her daddy's 'Dog at the Bow".. I guess that makes her a ... "Bow Wow"... lol!

Awww, looks fun, cooling and beautiful!! My son said its been miserable all week in Mt. Vernon! Heck, we're used to it, the dry heat is ok but that coupled with humidity is torture!! Enjoy cuz summer will be over before you know it!! ;)

That looks like a good thing to do during the heat wave. My daughter and grandson go kayaking in the ocean near them. I have never been kayaking but I think I would rather stick to a lake.
