Just wanted to share that a special "Utahfarmgirl", who has now transplanted to Portland, is having a birthday on Saturday. Missy, Patti, and I are going over to have a pajama party with her to celebrate! It's going to be such fun -- lots of junk food and a movie. And, yes, we're all wearing pajamas!

The birthday girl and I will be going thrift store shopping in the AM, then out to lunch, and the other gals will come over at 5.

Can't wait!!!

Patricia- That cracks me up that your kitty brought your balloon to you in bed. Apparently he knew it was for you. haha

It sounds like you ladies had a wonderful day! I think I would be in trouble if I ever went to "The Yarn Garden"! I would want to buy so much I wouldn't be able to eat for a year!

Thanks to Kay and Missy, I had the best birthday ever! Can't wait for our next day out!

Gotta tell you what Topo (our Siamese) did. He untied the balloon you gave me and with the string in his teeth, brought it upstairs to our bedroom. Then the next morning, when I woke up, he was standing on my chest with the balloon string in his mouth, a gift for me.

Dumb animals, right?

Thanks again to my dearest farmgirl friends!

love
Patricia

We had just the very best day with Patricia! Went to a neat thrift store first and found some treasures. I got a really pretty vintage embroidered tablecloth and a vintage light that goes on the headboard of the bed. I have been looking for one of those for a long time. It is pink and has handpainted roses on it! Now all I have to do is get a headboard to put it on. Then we went to lunch at the best Chinese restarant. On the way to the ribbon store in downtown Portland we stopped at the Yarn Garden. It is a yarn shop that takes up an entire city block! Really cool and can't wait to go back when I have more money. After that we went to the ribbon store but it was closed. So back to Patricia's for more food and a movie. It was a great day. I'm sure she or Missy will share pictures.

I'm so excited to spend Patricia's birthday with her. I've been rounding up the "goodies" today and I'm off to bake an angel food cake soon. Also worked on a super secret birthday project all morning and I'll share pictures later. Don't want to spoil the surprise!!! We'll be sharing pictures of our fun day. We love you Mrs Pepper!!

Wow, Kay, I didn't know you were gonna do this! Thanks for the good wishes! Yes, people, this is what 61 looks like. (Picture a young Elizabeth Taylor).

Katie, I read about yours and Aunt Jenny's day out and ferverently wished I'd been aboard. You gals are so much fun!

It's such a blessing to find farmgirl pals wherever you go. We need each other's values and unconditional love and faith in the future to help us keep going. I'm Soooo glad I found Kay, Missy and Patti here in Portland! It's hard to believe that at Farm Fair last year we were wishing we could live closer together. Be careful what you wish for -- haha!

I'm gonna take pictures tomorrow, so we'll post our craziness - Picture Kay running around naked yelling "woo hoo!". Ah, it'll be quite a nite. Farmboy Stu is gonna hide out, I think. Naw, he'll probably join us.

Thanks again for the good wishes, ladies. You guys are the best!

Love,
Patricia

Sounds like great fun Kay! Don't forget to bring dance music & paint each others toenails!

I had a huge slumber party when I turned 30. Sent the guys to a motel, and had 30 women sleep over! It was wonderful!

Thrifting is the perfect start to a perfect farmgirl birthday! :)
Have a wonderful time!

Happiest of Birthdays Patricia!
