Hi everyone..I missed being here to chat so much! What a busy busy week in Calif we had. I loved every minute of my time with my grown boys and grand daughter and friends..especially my dear friend Pattie and her family. We had so much fun catching up!!
As much fun as it was, I am so glad to be home. I am just not a traveler and love to be home more than anything. It was so good to walk in the door last night and then run out with an apple to see Mona's sweet face before I started unpacking. Today was laundry, laundry, grocery shopping, and more laundry!! I am glad tomorrow is an official day of rest since I am worn out. I ended up taking down alot of curtains and washing them today..it was warm and windy and just right for drying things on the line...perfect day!!
My friend who "critter sat" while we were gone did such a great job that I didn't even have to worry about things, so that was nice.
I am trying to post some of the zillion pictures I took on my blog, but blogger is giving me fits today. Jeesh!! If I can't figure it out tomorrow I will put them on photobucket and post them here....I want to share..especially the ones of my kids all together (well, 6 of them...all 7 were never in the same place at once..happens every time. We swear we are going to photoshop him into a picure!!!)
I am off to bed...

I was just in California myself. I was raised in Northern California and in some ways it is home, but it has changed SO much. When we were in So. Calif. it was so strange because everywhere we went many people were speaking Spanish. I felt outta place there. It was truly strange. This was mostly when in the Garment District part of L.A., although parts of Hollywood was the same. One place where I bought gasoline, there was a gal behind the counter and it was frustrating to both of us because she could not speak much English and I speak about two words in Spanish. She actually was rude to me, like it was my fault that I could not understand her. California is not the California that was there 25 years ago. It is really overflow of Mexico. I am not trying to start anything here or offend anyone...just making a point. It was very strange! It does sadden me though that I could not understand what people in the stores or other places were saying and I did not leave the borders of the USA.

I was glad to get back to Idaho.
We did see Diane Keaton in The Spaghetti Factory and Martin Short on the streets of Hollywood doing some filming. My nephew works in an movie theater in Hollywood where all the stars go. He sees 'stars' all the time. He does not seem to be too impressed. But he loves living there...so much to do for him. He is from a very small town where there is not much for a young person...so this part he loves. He is within driving distance or can take the subway to many things.

Aunt Jenny-

I am sure we will all be holding our breath for her! I remember the first year you had Mona when you were told the wrong due date for her!

Welcome back to BOTH homes, Jenny - here AND your very own! I just KNOW that Miss Mona is much more comfortable with you back. How is she, by the way - have you had that ultrasound yet to see if her calf will be a heifer (hee hee - just wishful thinking)?!?!?!

XOXO, Libbie
