Posted - May 22 2022 : 10:29:34 AM I love rescuing someone's handiwork at an estate sale. I know a lot of time and love have gone into these projects and I cannot believe that none of their family wanted to keep them as a memory of their loved ones creativity and skills. A great Halloween saying
Two beautiful home/love sayings
A simple Christmas hanger. This one looks handmade but isn't, but a great idea to make a simple embroidery project.
And these are just 2 of the many I have that my mother made. I treasure all these examples of her handiwork and there is no way I will ever sell them. She was always working on a project if some kind. She taught me sewing, embroidery, knitting, and crochet, among other things.
A needlepoint project. My aunt had made one just like this that was printed on the canvas. Because I played violin and viola my mother took my aunt's project directions and made this picture on blank needlepoint canvas.
I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.

Posted - May 24 2022 : 05:42:09 AM Linda, these are all awesome!! Wonderful treasures too! I have done a fair amount of cross stitch over the years and I can attest that it takes many hours to complete those patterns.

Posted - May 22 2022 : 10:38:21 AM Linda I do the same, it breaks my heart to see that no one cared to keep it in the family. You found some treasures for sure! I have the exact same one with the houses. I worked on it when we moved into our second home, so it holds great memories.

Posted - May 22 2022 : 10:32:56 AM All beautiful, Linda! Such special gifts! I have a very good friend who lives in Canada, and her father used to needlepoint, when he passed, I was gifted one of his beautiful needle points, I have it framed in my bedroom, I cherish it so! You don't hear of many men embroidering in their lives... he was extremely talented!
