Richard's aunt Hattie made this back in the 1930's. Almost never used it because it was so hard to wash. They only had a wringer washer. Anyway I get it out in the spring and use it. I have washed it a few times and it comes out fine. Such pretty stitching. Richard had three aunts that lived together and never married. They were all so cute. All gone now but left us many nice things. This was several years ago. Nancy Jo

Posted - Apr 13 2022 : 05:00:40 AM Nancy your bedspread is gorgeous! How women made such huge and complicated things is beyond my imagination. The hours and the skill it took is amazing. What a wonderful heirloom to enjoy on your bed for Spring!!
