Posted - Apr 03 2007 : 1:09:29 PM Well, I had a hit your head, ahhaa, my gosh I finally get it moment this week.
I have been struggling as of late with a lot of things in my life. Long story short, I have come to realize just to enjoy the moment I am in and the rest will come in due time. I was thinking too far down the road, anticipating and trying to control the future, which I cannot. I have decided to get more out of each day instead of saying "Oh well five months, 6 weeks, 2 years, when we move, get the house, graduate college, DH is older, DH is out of the military...." I realized I was ignoring the now. This is where I am at and I am ok with that.
Boy!! That was painful.....
Cheers,
Heather |

Posted - Apr 05 2007 : 8:33:35 PM Gee, farmgirls - thanks for the proverbial "kick in the pants" on this one! I've been worrying so much lately just about "stuff," and getting these great reminders that this moment really IS the only moment that I can act in was EXACTLY what I needed to hear. You're wonderful.
XOXO, Libbie

Posted - Apr 05 2007 : 07:27:02 AM Heather, I wonder if it's because of spring, because I recently did the same thing. Stressing about what I have to do, stressing over what I haven't done yet, and totally blanking out the moment.
I told myself that this is the only place I have in which to act. Can't change the past; it's done. Can't do anything about the future until it comes. I'm liking everything a whole lot more these days and putting more balance in everyday life.
And ironically, I'm getting more done as a result. Go figure.
Wishing you peace.... |

Posted - Apr 03 2007 : 11:45:38 PM True, so true. This moment is truly the only thing we each have. We can buy it back once it is spent, nor can we save this moment to spend it later.....so here and now is where we each are. Thanks for the reminder!

Posted - Apr 03 2007 : 11:12:39 PM I know exactly how you feel! I have had a few of those epiphanies myself. I love the feeling afterwards though. I always feel much more comfortable in my own skin and in my place in life for that particular moment. :)

Posted - Apr 03 2007 : 1:12:39 PM LOL it always seems that the "kick in the seat of the pants" self talks and realizations always do have a little bit of an "ouch" factor(it's usually things that we already know anyhow)..but..it's a relief and an "ahh that's alot less stress"and a good bit of breathing easier after it. Seize the day! Best of wishes to you!
