Hi everyone,
My name is Candy Hogan #8283, FGOTM Dec 2021.
I live in Oakley, California, USA.
I have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. I live on a ranch and have Llamas, Alpacas, there are Chickens, Cattle, goats, pigs, sometimes sheep and other critters here on the property. I have been involved in 4-H for 30 years, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, I am the Danville Grange Master, I have 23 volunteer title positions. Retired/disabled from the health care profession, I mainly spend my time volunteering or being on the ranch. I love learning new things all the time, I have been taking online college classes at Harvard, Yale, Stanford and recently UC Berkeley. The Mary Jane Farm Girl Program badges are great for me. This is my first year as a Sister, I am Chapter Leader, Chapter Guru, Sharpshooter (268 badges in one year) and I need to apply for Farm Girl Guide. I am busy planning our Chapter Jubilee as we finish year #1. This is an awesome program, we have 9 adult sisters, 3 young cultivators and 30 Facebook members on our Brentwood Farm Girl page - come check us out and see what our members have been up to. Candy, it is wonderful to hear all of the many organizations you have been involved in over the years as well as your busy ranch! You have given many young people the opportunity to widen their horizons and learn new things.
