Fun Fact: Did you know that the lady who played Aunt Bethany in "Christmas Vacation" was none other than Mae Questal who was not only the voice of our dear Betty Boop, but also of Popeye's beloved Olive Oyl?! No kidding!!!
Betty Boop has a very special place in our hearts. Just after our son was born, one of my husband's dearest friends was in a terrible vehicle accident and wavered from life to death for a couple of weeks. His recovery was extremely slow, but he did make an amazing full recovery. Shortly after he was released from the hospital, he started telling everyone he attributed his healing not only to the doctors. While he was in and out of consciousness he saw two people who talked with him and gave him the strength to pull through: Betty Boop and our infant son! He said Betty would sit by his side and sing to him and tell him stories and dance for him and encourage him the entire time. He also said he kept seeing our infant son who would tell him to get better cuz they were supposed to have a lot of fun together! He SWEARS it was both of them to this day, almost 25 years later! How fun is that?!

This was quit a fluk.. Nicole had posted (facebook)a photo of her a few days ago with "Betty Boop. and yesterday while out at the Iron Works deco shop I spotted this Betty... so it was to be,, Nicole and me.. doing our Betty Boop impersonations...

Great pictures! My late mother's name was Bette. She always hated it though when her cousins would call her Betty Boop. Her real name was Bette and that's what she wanted to be called no matter what!
