Hey all,,, I normally have all mail sent to my P.O. Box.. we have been the victim of mail theft and other issues.. so we have been P.O. Box people for the last 14 years.. but this past year the rates have gone up crazy and we have been having all sorts of issues with our P.O. Box,,,,
So.. hubby purchased and installed a heavy duty security mail box at the end of our driveway,,,, a bit of a walk,, but at least I won't have to drive into town to fetch my mail.
so... if you have my old P.O.Box, 2317.. message me and I will give you my home mail box/address....
The P.O. Box is still active until June 30th.

I now have (another) excuse to go for a daily walk.(out to the road to get the mail),, but in the Winter, I will hop on the Quad Runner... this ol' gal doesn't like to hike in the snow!

So message me if you need my updated address....

OK,, I have to admit, it's been nice not having to clean up and drive into town to get my mail... now I just walk down to the road,,, unlock my box, retrieve my mail and I can even read my mail as I am walking back up to the house..
there just is one hitch in my giddy-up... twice now I have wondered into my garden and laid my mail on the chair and forgot about it.. lol!

Hubby used a utility pole that we acquired from our local electric company as the stand/post,, sunk it 3ft into the ground.. and the security mail box is bolted to the pole/post.. that sucker isn't going anywhere... it seems as of late,, certain bored youths have made it a hobby to drive around and bash the mail boxes.. oh what a rude awakening they are going to get if they try it on ours...
Whish I had done this 3 years ago....the money I would have saved not having to spend/pay for P.O. Box... would have been put to better use at the fabric/craft stores... lolol!

So true,, The mail service out here in the country is by contracted carriers,, not P.O. personnel.... but so far so good,, and today was a lovely walk out to the road to get the mail....

Grace, I hope this new mailbox works out great for you. It’s time you get some better luck with the mail.

At the farmhouse I had a long walk to the mailbox; here, not so long. LOL!
