Posted - Feb 28 2020 : 07:05:37 AM Have you kissed an ass today? Going out to kiss my two asses now. Sorry ladies--- a friend gave ne a gave me a garden flag that says that and I have been cracking up. Was trying to wait until April Fool's day but I couldn't help it. My donkeys only kiss me if I give them a cookie.

Posted - Feb 28 2020 : 5:29:37 PM I don't have any asses to kiss but I am just loving this post!
When I was a kid my grandparent's neighbors had a donkey (his name was Jack @$S). We had an extra field area at our shop and my Grandpa and my Dad would let Jack come over to graze to keep the grass down. I decided I wanted to try to ride Jack one day when I was about 10 years old so I waited until he came over to the fence for an apple and then climbed over the fence and sat on his back. He trotted out to the middle of the field and tossed me off....and then circled around and came right back over to love on me like nothing ever happened. Silly stinker that little Donkey was.
Then...when I was in high school we were raising money for a trip to Germany and we held a Donkey Basketball game. My donkey was the one who went this way while all of the rest of his friends went that way....every time. Needless to say my team lost the game. But I don't think I have ever laughed so hard in my life as I did that night!
And....who doesn't just love Eyeore from Winnie the Pooh? Donkeys are such lovable animals.
Thanks for bringing back some happy memories!
Cheers! ~ Marilyn

Posted - Feb 28 2020 : 1:02:26 PM I so agree with Darlene! I can not wait till my hubs gets home and we can work on fencing!! I love the little donkeys! I have a very old black and white picture of my mom and dads honeymoon in Mexico where they were riding a burro up a small hill. My heart is endeared to them, donkey's and mules!! Barbara you are so hilarious tho!! I would prefer my 'ass' have 4 legs if theres any kissing to be done! Bwahaha!!

Posted - Feb 28 2020 : 07:48:07 AM Barbara, I agree donkeys are good to have around. I've never had one but have seen them in pastures with goats. Donkeys protect goats from predators. As the donkey grazes the goats are right behind.

Posted - Feb 28 2020 : 07:31:13 AM I so agree Winnie---they are gentle, sweet, and smart. Our first one was a rescue and we had to get him a pal as he was so lonely. They bring us much happiness for sure. I sure do love those asses a lot. LOL.

Posted - Feb 28 2020 : 07:11:14 AM Donkeys are sometimes given a bad rap for their independent persoalities, but they are really friendly , loyal, and very smart animals, not to mention they are hard workers.
