Posted - Feb 28 2007 : 08:20:45 AM I love lighter evenings, too...although I must admit it was rather nice getting up and having it light enough to find my way out to the critters in the mornigs!

Posted - Feb 28 2007 : 08:15:14 AM I just found that out 3 days ago because I was looking at my calendar. I had to call my sister and let her know...just who are these people that have the power to decide what time it is...Well, I'm not gonna complain, I love when it's light longer.. |

Posted - Feb 28 2007 : 05:34:37 AM I'd love to see them just do away with it all together...just let it be what it is and we'll all deal with it. I realize there are some, or were some as I don't know how much it still is anymore, reasons to do with energy savings and such but I'm sure we'd figure something out.

Posted - Feb 28 2007 : 05:09:14 AM is there anything we don't tinker with? I like it lighter longer at night also but dark mornings are hard. When do we turn it back for fall??

Posted - Feb 28 2007 : 05:04:31 AM The day to change is March 11 (the same day we leave for our trip to the southwest). I guess we'll be getting even fewer hours of sleep that night! I've been hearing about this at work for the past couple of weeks. It's a big deal for computers because apparently they are set to change time after a certain number of days (based on the old daylight savings time). Our tech support people have created some sort of patch and installed it on all the computers. I'm not sure if there's a similar fix for home PCs. I think the only big impact this would have if unfixed is that if you use a lot of calendar features on your computer, your times for meetings and appointments will be screwed up. |

Posted - Feb 27 2007 : 5:02:59 PM I was wondering exactly when it changes. I love the extra light at night..but those dark mornings make this night person even sleepier early mornings...can't have everything though!!

Posted - Feb 27 2007 : 3:57:20 PM Don't feel bad, I don't usually know until the night before! And we do have a tv and radio! I think I remember something in the fall about them monkeying with the dates we switch, this must be it!
