I started a blog on old timey churches, or whatever persuasion you are. I like the old ones being used or not. I took the liberty of using one Sue posted on her blog. If you think it is a good idea and you have any pictures e-mail them to me. Thanks MB I forgot---

I've got some neat ones I took pics of when I was in Kansas. When I get back I'll look for them and send them to you.

Blessed Be!

Tasha, I would love any kind of pictures, even a circle in the woods. Or a church being lived in. MB

I have to get picking up the living room, so I will look at it later, I just wanted to mention how I ADORE old churches. There is this old white country church out on a highway near my parent's house. IT use to stand empty, but then some people bought it and turned it into a home. I WOULD LOVE to live in a old church! I always wanted to marry Rob at that church....depsite being, well, not Christian...I adore them.

Oh Marybeth, I love this idea, so glad your doing it, I just love these themed blogs, like Tracys cementary and barn blogs. I'm honored that you used my pic and I'll send you more if I can get them taken, a good excuse to take the camera for a drive soon. And if my sis is reading this, Allison, send MB some pics of those old churches in Beatty, they are neat!

Oh I LOVE this idea MaryBeth. My town is the end of the Oregon Trail and we have some really lovely old churches and cemetaries. Whenever I am early to pick up my son from preschool I drive around and look at all the old houses and chuches. I dream of buying one someday and "fixing it up".
Our farm had a couple of old houses on it, but for some reason they were just left to fall apart. The best one burned down in the '50's. I've only seen pictures. I can't wait to take pictures to share!

Love this blog. I bought a book at our local Dollar Store when it first opened a few years back...it is pictures of old churches. If I can find it may I post some pics from it? My 'library' is still a mess as we have not yet fixed the office where the tree fell on our house last month. My books are piled everywhere in a spare room that is fixed up for my grandsons. Good thing they are not coming to visit for awile...there would be no place for them to lay there little heads...except for on books! But I will see if I can locate the church book.

I take pics of old churches when I see them too...can't resist them. Old farm houses too. And then there are old cemeteries...I could spend hours in them things...reading the stones and admiring the architechural details on them.

Hey, I just thought of a good one. When my hubby and I went to the east coast for our historical trip this fall we went to Walton's Mountain (Shyuler), VA. I took pics of the church the family attended there. It is lovely and had just been redone inside. I wish my church looked like that!
