Posted - Feb 20 2007 : 8:58:08 PM My mother gifted me today with an item very very precious.
It's a hand quilted pillow (stuffed with down), made by my great grandmother.
It's extremely delicate. Many of the stitches are broken. I'm wondering if anyone knows how best I may preserve it?? I'm thinking of taking the quilted front panel (the back is plain) and framing it, but would it deteriorate under the glass? Is there a way I could have it cleaned with out it being harmed?
I'll be happy to post a pic tomorrow when mum brings it up.
Thanks, Babs
