Posted - Feb 20 2007 : 4:27:49 PM We had the honor to know a brave little 11 year old boy named Dylan Corbin who just lost a 5 year battle to Leukemia. He was in my son Connor's class and they were friends. It has been very hard on the students, but also a blessing in seeing how the children, teachers and community have pulled together. Freeman is a small farming community and very tightly knit.
It is hard to understand why things like this happen, but when I see the love and sense of community that has come out of this tragedy, it is easy to see a purpose. Please pray for his family. Besides mom and dad, he also left behind a 13 year old brother, Dalton, who is a good friend of my son Dillon, who is also 13. Dalton is carrying on as if nothing has happened, but inside I know is heart is broken. I just pray he can express and process his grief.
Thanks in advance for the prayers for this sweet family.
