Posted - Feb 23 2007 : 09:47:16 AM Aunt Jenny, I always used worms for fishing until I grabbed one to put on the hook and it actually jumped! I've never seen a worm jump. I just couldn't do it because he seemed afraid...I know, I know, I'm just a little crazy...anyway, now I use whole kernel corn for fishing. I wonder if the fish are afraid? Oh well, I'll deal with that some other time. Junebug, belly dancing is wonderful fun. I used to take lessons, got as far as the semi-professional class. I didn't want to go further because then you were supposed to perform. I'm too shy for that. I even took lessons through my pregnancy. That was many years ago. Someday maybe I'll start up again. |

Posted - Feb 20 2007 : 09:53:30 AM Yes it would be a good business venture for boys, selling fishing worms. I read that they reproduce every 30 to 80 days depending upon environmental conditions..which they should quickly if you keep them inside at a fairly constant temperature. It then takes the new womrs 8-10 weeks to become mature to reproduce. It should be an exciting adventure!

I honestly don't have a problem with them (I have used them for fishing my whole life so I guess I just got used to it) and my boys are really really interested in them..it would be a good little business for them around here..growing fishing bait worms...hmm.... that COULD even be my excuse to get started, right?? I sure enjoyed your blog..I will visit often...I am glad you got started!

Posted - Feb 20 2007 : 07:11:59 AM Sarah, I checked out your blog...it was interesting, I'm also looking into starting my own worm composting. I was waiting for the blog to pop up and I had just put a handful of soynuts and raisins in my mouth when the picture of the worms came on...you don't want to be biting into raisins and seeing worms at the same time...next time I read it I wont be eating... |
