any of you girls have any of this stuff on your shelf when the announcement of possible salmonella was made?
wednesday had THREE jars of it! we tossed them!!!

Thanks Laluna, I said that in a post and felt way out of place. My mantra "buy local and buy organic" Don't people know who and what con-agra is? I feel really bad for any victim of theirs. MB

i did save (and thoroughly WASH) the tops ..don't know if i'll actually ever really get around to returning them.

Ick, thankfully no. I really only buy organic/all-natural whenever possible, and I totally prefer the organic PB with skins that I buy at our local health-food store (really - read the labels of Peter Pan, Jif, etc. PB's and you'll see there's more than just peanuts in there!). I'm sorry to hear about everyone who got sick. My little 2 year-old niece has been sick for about a week now, and guess what she'd been eating? :-( |

We did. Had a huge jar of it that was barely used. Into the trash it went. I have a friend whose husband had stomach problems for a month straight. He would get sick, get better, get sick again. Yes, they had PP peanut butter. He would eat a big spoonful of it, and then a day or so later, would be sick again. It wasn't until the recall that they connected the two things. She is going to try and have it tested to see if it is indeed contaminated.
Bleah.

Yup and I am convinced that when I threw up for two days strait last month that this was the reason.

Yes we had a huge container (from Sam's Club) that had about 4 spoonfulls left in the bottom of the container. Luckily we never got sick. But we tossed the rest.
