Posted - Feb 18 2007 : 4:33:49 PM I've gone blog crazy! I'm cleaning things out around here and just put up a new blog: http://whatwillugiveme.blogspot.com
I've got a couple things on there right now...yarn and a little tin heart. I'll leave these up for a week; make an offer if you're interested! Best offer wins...and I'm not even looking just for cash; you can offer your first born child if you'd really like to (although, I've got one of my own that has yet to leave the house, so I may not take yours...)
So pop on in and see what shows up throughtout the week! And make an offer I can't refuse!

Posted - Feb 20 2007 : 3:26:31 PM Okay, so here's the trick about stashing stuff in the car....bring it in after a period of time of keeping it in the car - it can be an hour, a day, a week. When hubby asks if it is something new, you can say, "Oh heavens no, I've had this for a while!"
Truthfulness depends on how one defines "a while." Warning: hubby catches on quickly if the tactic is used too often. ;-)
I've tried to find a suitable exercise video for women my age...but they haven't made one called "Buns of Putty" |

Posted - Feb 20 2007 : 12:30:43 PM Tracey I won't be selling them. I paint because I like to and most all of my paintings are in the family. I certainly will give credit where credit is due and you DO have beautiful photos.

Linda, have you seen my mustang blog? Tons of pictures there of the girls! http://mustangdiaries.blogspot.com
Okay, now...someone's got to come along and outbid AuntGeorge on the owl barf...she's offering Shih Tsu castings and I really don't want to make that swap, lol! I'm seeing that definite guidelines will need to be put into place here

Posted - Feb 19 2007 : 6:05:28 PM I have junque stashed in my car! I thought I was the only one that did that. OMGoodness if he only knew how much weird stuff I had stashed. (Most of it though was intended as a christmas gift. That can all go, it would be too sad for me to keep it.)
I still get nervous whenever honey goes out there! - I'm so glad to find kindred spirits. :)
Does anyone else collect trivets?
Tracey, what kind of things do you collect that you would especially like in trade?

Posted - Feb 19 2007 : 5:00:52 PM Babs I know how you feel. I've gone to hiding my Junque in the trunk of my car and then sneaking it out when my DH isn't looking or gone. About a month ago I almost got caught with a trunk full (I have a HUGE trunk). My Dh returned home earier then expected. I was think I might have a problem with Junque hunting. Do they have a Junque Anonymous? I think I actually have stuff in my trunk as I write. Maybe this is why my DH is looking for a smaller car for me and why he loves it when I drive my motorcycle to work. Can't stop at the garbage piles or thrift store that way. I will for ever be a Junquette!

Posted - Feb 19 2007 : 4:43:40 PM Junque is what we have always called it around here....in fact some of the art Rob and I create together we coined as "junque-art" on our website. We have nothing up yet as most of what we have made has already been sold, just wanted to throw that in there....it's like calling Target, Target-Boutique....I love it!

Junque. I like that. Maybe that will be the title of the blog page. My Junque Your Junque? lol Actually hey, thats available. Okay I'm off an rolling here... mind if I link to you? Can I do that? This is my first blog outside of myspace which was my very first, first blog. :)

Posted - Feb 19 2007 : 03:16:53 AM GREAT idea, Tracey.....and love the "desperate horsewife" description of yourself. Looking forward to seeing your treasures! And what is junk except "already appreciated later-to-be-pricey antiques of the future tenderhearted"? Babs, just smile and tell your husband you're just "getting in while the getting's good"! Posted - Feb 18 2007 : 9:32:57 PM Babs, tell hubby that it is NOT junk, it is "junque", a much higher class of merchandise! And so much better than visiting WalMart. ;-)

Hubby told me last night after bringing in my second box of treasure from my treasure chasing that maybe that was "enough junking" for awhile. JUNK! Do you believe that?
