Heh. Well, I wasn't exactly sure where to post this, but since this seems like the most "all-purpose" forum...

I'm a huge music fan and was just thrilled to hear about The Police reunion tour this summer! Is anyone else looking forward to it? I'm going to be online tomorrow morning to try and get tickets to the Toronto show, but I'm not sure how lucky I'll be, seeing as they've already had a pre-sale and the venue only holds about twenty thousand. And the tickets aren't cheap, but these are the kinds of things that I like to spend my money on (that, and I didn't get to see them last time because my mother wouldn't let me go see them -- in 1984 ). Anyway, just curious as to everyone else's reaction. Or perhaps you'd just like to share your own concert/music-related story?

We picked up two tickets to Styx last summer. We, meaning DD and I went out and picked them up at the office, with the plan of DD and DS going. Then DS had to work, which opened the door for DH (who was thrilled), and I was happy to avoid the whole mess. I don't do concerts.

*LOL* you ladies are funny! :-)

So, for those interested in this sort of thing, I managed to get two tickets before the Sunday night show sold out and they immediately added a Monday night show, which I believe is also sold out by now. Whew! It was pretty harrowing there for awhile ;-) Now I have my first "fun thing" to look forward to this summer!

Also thought this was going to be an exciting crime thread! LOL! I am an old fashioned bluegrass/country/gospel music girl. But I do have a few police stories . . . not involving music! LOL!

I absolutely adore Sting, but there's no way I'd go to a concert. I really dislike the crush of people, the LOUDness of it, and the inevitable "aromas" in the air. Did that in college. All done now.

Ha, ha! Me too, Tracey. I saw the topic of 'Police' on the homepage and was alarmed that something was amiss. I had a good chuckle when I saw it was about the group Police and not the guys in uniform.

I love Sting.. Police the group was great. I hope they can live up to everyone's expectations.

Gee, and here I thought something exciting was happening...like there was a possum stuck in your basement. Wait, that would be the fire department. Never mind...

(I'm not a big fan of the police...except my father, who was one, but not the same as the one's you're talking about...I don't think...)

I would love to see them too but the only cities they will be in in this "area" are St.Louis and Dallas. I have a feeling ticket will sell out before I could get them anyway/
